NOCTURNUM What happens before you send
The enquiry asks for your idea, preferred placement, optional budget and timing information, name and email address. You may select up to five JPG, PNG or WebP reference photographs, totalling no more than 15 MB. Entries and selected files remain in the current page’s memory. They are not uploaded to a Nocturnum server, stored in a website database or retained by this page after a reload. Your browser or device may separately offer autofill, downloads or history features under your own settings.
You control the email handoff
An enquiry without photographs opens an email draft. With photographs, the page offers device sharing where supported and a downloadable email draft. A share sheet sends the selected content to the app you choose; check the recipient. Downloaded drafts include robert@nocturnum.ca and the selected attachments. Downloading or opening a draft does not mean it was sent. Your email provider and chosen apps handle the content under their own terms. Draft files remain on your device until you delete them.
When you contact us
If you send the message, Nocturnum receives what you send and ordinary email information such as your address and message metadata. We use it to respond, discuss suitability and scope, and coordinate your enquiry with the relevant artist. Sending an enquiry is not permission to publish your photographs, add you to a marketing list or use your image in promotion. Separate permission is needed for those purposes.
Only share what is needed
Do not send medical records, identity documents, payment-card details or intimate images through the general enquiry form. Reference photographs can identify people or contain embedded metadata; remove unnecessary identifying details before sharing. Share only images you are entitled to use and obtain permission from identifiable people where needed. A private health or consent intake, if required for an appointment, is separate from this website enquiry.
Maps, links and technical data
The website uses locally hosted fonts and artwork and does not include advertising pixels or analytics cookies. The map is not contacted until you choose Load map. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which can receive technical information such as your IP address and may use cookies under its own privacy policy. Directions, external portfolio links and your email app also take you to third-party services. Google’s policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. The public website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical traffic information, including IP addresses and request information, to deliver and protect the site. Its global services may process information outside Canada, including in the United States and European Economic Area. Details are available at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/. Enquiry text and selected photos are not sent to Cloudflare by this website’s form.
Retention and access
The page itself has no enquiry archive. Once you send an email, correspondence can remain in the receiving inbox and service-provider systems. Retention depends on the enquiry, any resulting service and applicable legal obligations. Contact us for information about a specific message or file. You can email robert@nocturnum.ca to request access, correction, withdrawal of consent or deletion. We may need reasonable identity verification, and legal retention duties may limit deletion. Withdrawal can prevent us from continuing an enquiry.
Safeguards and concerns
No method of email transmission is completely secure. Use the minimum information needed and contact us if you need another way to discuss a sensitive matter. This website policy is not a certification of the studio’s operational compliance.
Changes to this policy
If the enquiry system, hosting, analytics or service providers change, this policy must be updated to reflect the new handling before those features are enabled. The update date above identifies this version.
